Staff

Luke Llamas

Luke came on staff with FCA in September of 2007 and serves as the Multi-Area Director for the Central Coast as well as the International Coordinator for the Western Region.

Luke was a five time national competitor as a track and cross country athlete for Cal Poly and received his degree in Communication with a minor in Religious Studies. In college Luke was involved with various campus ministries including Athletes In Action, helping lead outreaches and the Bible study for the cross country team.

After college Luke served as a chaplain at the San Luis Obispo county jail while taking bible college classes and working as a soccer coach before coming on staff with FCA. He has since had the opportunity to do ministry in thirteen countries throughout Africa, Asia, Latin America, and the Middle East.

In his current role with FCA Luke helps oversee FCA staff and volunteers on the Central Coast as well as FCA Leaders in South Asia. He travels and speaks, training leaders and working with adult volunteers "to see the world transformed for Jesus Christ through the influence of coaches and athletes."


Katie Llamas

Katie came on staff with FCA in October of 2014 and serves as a Area Representative with FCA's college ministry at Cal Poly SLO.

Katie is originally from Myrtle Beach, S.C. She was raised on a camping resort by the water where her father ran an outreach ministry. It was there that she came to know the Lord, was trained in camp ministry and outreach, and eventually dedicated her life to God’s work. She attended Columbia International University where she received a B.A. in Humanities & Bible.

After graduating in 2006, Katie worked as a middle school director at a church for four years before moving to Seoul, South Korea to teach Bible at an international school, where she stayed for four years. During this time, she also earned a Master’s Degree in International Education. Katie returned to the States in December 2013, and she and Luke were married in May 2014.

Katie has a heart for international work and training. She thrives on new challenges and the opportunity to work with people. Both Luke and Katie are passionate about using their gifts to serve the Lord together and making a difference for the Kingdom of God. Luke & Katie have two young boys, Isaac and Caleb.


Chris Gaschen

Chris came on staff with FCA in September of 2016 and serves as an Area Representative for San Luis Obispo County. 

Chris was a collegiate soccer player for Cal Poly while earning a degree in Business with a minor in History. During his time at Cal Poly, Chris lead Athletes in Action for two years while helping at a youth group in Morro Bay. In 2010 the Lord gave Chris a desire for full time ministry.

Since graduating college Chris has served the Lord in Russia multiple times, and with the youth group at Shoreline Calvary Chapel in Morro Bay. He has a heart for discipleship, evangelism, missions and teaching. Chris loves spending time with his wife Tanna and daughters Rainee and Charlotte, as well as playing soccer, hockey, and volleyball.



Olivia Trudeau

Olivia came on staff with FCA in August of 2014 and serves as a Area Representative for San Luis Obispo and Northern Santa Barbara County.

She grew up on the Central Coast and attended Arroyo Grande High School. She has always had a love for sports, especially volleyball and basketball, and has a passion for working with athletes and youth.

She went to Seton Hall University, competing in their Division 1 volleyball program and earned her Bachelor’s degree in Sociology. As an SHU student, Olivia was involved with a similar sports ministry and was deeply impacted by the missionaries on staff and even had the opportunity to travel to the Dominican Republic and Puerto Rico to help run youth volleyball camps and serve the local communities.

Olivia graduated in May 2013 and moved home to the Central Coast. Since her return, she has been involved with coaching indoor and beach volleyball. She currently coaches for Pismo Beach Volleyball Club, SLO Fusion, and Nipomo High School. She enjoys serving with FCA in her hometown and being able to help others grow athletically and spiritually. 


Sierra Beach

Sierra came on staff with FCA as the Administrative Assistant for the Central Coast in March, 2018. She grew up in Orange County, CA where she attended and later worked for Saddleback Church for six years as an Executive Administrator. 

Sierra helps oversee operations, marketing and event planning for Central Coast FCA. Sierra enjoys hiking, running and leading worship.
